FR386 Land Developer

More of my personal project while I continue to look for work.

I've included two images below which show my process of developing this character.  Two thoughts about shapes and deeper symbolic meaning occurred to me as I decided on what to do about his design.  First of all, he plays antagonist to the Forest Ranger.  I realized she was kind of cupcake-shaped.  -and what is an enemy to cake?  -maybe a knife?  So I thought of incorporating sharp curved positive and negative shapes in his design.  

The other design element I'll leave up to you to decipher, but it has something to do with how he plans to 'change' the forest to suit his own desires.
